Extract information like timestamp from recordings

Hi all, I’ve been doing some experiments with Matrix and Odas for some time now but I haven’t been able to find a way to extract time information from the recordings.

For my project, I need to know the time information from raw files. For example, from any point from a recording, I want to know what time that was, not the time with respect to the length of the recording but the time when the data was written.

I thought about converting the timestamp provided in configuration files to the actual time based on when the file is created. But I couldn’t figure out how fast Matrix prints timestamp. Is there a way to look at the time in the system? Any suggestions will be appreciated. thank you!

Hey @yihanhuucsd

I haven’t worked much with ODAS, but I think you can edit the code and have it output a timestamp for each sampling with std::time.
