Matrix Voice with Alexa,,

Hi everyone :smile:

I tried the guide at the following site but it wasn’t working

so I tried the method the site recommend

Downloadable Image (Recommended)
The manual installation below may take over an hour to finish so we have provided a downloadable image here with everything pre-installed. You can use to flash the image onto your SD Card.

Skip to Step 4 if you use our image.

but I got an following error when i executed ‘etcher’ to flash the image onto SD Card

if I click continue button, the task will be completed once

but I can’t boot raspberryPi as the SD Card

what’s wrong with it?

I hope you understand my lack of English Skill

Thank you for reading my long question!

I will try to replicate that now and get back to you.

I get the same error.

The file downloaded is a gzip file. Are you guys unzip’ing this before actually flashing the SD Card. In windows should be easy to do so using 7-zip

I check and the zip file looks good.

$ 7z l ./

7-Zip [64] 9.20  Copyright (c) 1999-2010 Igor Pavlov  2010-11-18
p7zip Version 9.20 (locale=en_US.UTF-8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,4 CPUs)

Listing archive: ./

Path = ./
Type = gzip

   Date Time Attr Size Compressed Name

I unziped ‘’ using 7-zip

then the output was ‘matrix-alexa-sdk-guide-041318.img’

and I unziped this file again then the output was ‘matrix-alexa-sdk-guide-040318.img’ <- why did the file name change?

anyway, I could boot raspberryPi as this file, and I proceeded from step 4

but I can’t also hear anything from alexa
